Hi there Fabian. Im wolfreborn im the current encoder here at higure-subs. Before i get to actually sending you a test i just want to ask you a few questions. Firstly, i would like to know what type of codec are you most use to using, when you create an encode? Also, i would like to know would you be willing to do a test encode for me? Ill send you everything you will need, the only thing i would want from it is the opening. Just cut it down to only the opening. I wont give you the size i expect i would like to see what you would do. Also, ill leave the codec up to you aswell. Anyways, Thanks for applying. Hope to hear from you soon. WolfReborn

Firstly, i would like to know what type of codec are you most use to using, when you create an encode? Er... mostly did it in divx but output as an avi file...
Also, i would like to know would you be willing to do a test encode for me? Ill send you everything you will need, the only thing i would want from it is the opening. Just cut it down to only the opening. I would not mind taking the test... Do I have a certain time period to do this???
By the way... which is your preferred program for encoding??? And I will try it out with divx 1st cause I am more familiar with it... but guess it should be roughly the same as xvid |

LOl in terms of time period perhaps id hope by tomorrow night? lol im not big on making you have to do it right away. i have work all weekend which is why i say the sooner the better but otherwise i can wait till monday. in terms of codec i was just interested if your using the divx enjoy, weve tested them previously though and the only thing i found was it was much inferior in quality. (the main reason we were also trying to do the mkv container LOL) im not the greatest encoder out there but ive been getting al ot better than i use to be. so im open to possibilities. anyways i will send you a link for the raw and the sub files. ill expect you to get it done as soon as you can but dont rush yourself too much. also keep in mind if you wait till next week i will be busy working on the next episode aswell as another new file type. Sorry im getting a tad bit tired lol still have tonnes of work to do, and im not paraphrasing, or grammar. My preferred program for encoding by the way is virtual dub........Adobe premiere cannot add subtitles (experimented previoiusly in the past) Check you inbox in about ten minutes for all the links you will need. Aswell as full details. WolfReborn

Do you have the program/skills to encode? I use MeGUI, which works well for me when encoding mkvs, which are my preferred filetype. Are you experienced with encoding? i have fiddled around with it, doing conversions of several series for personal storage from avi/ogm to mkv, and assisting the odd person who wanted a file conversion. I am also looking into the ordered chapters feature of MKVs. Are you willing to take the time needed to encode episodes every tuesday/wednesday? Tuesdays seem to be a good day for me, wednesdays slightly less. do you work well with a group? Certainly. can you show a sample of your work? Of course, but it would be simpler to complete a test file.

I'll let our encoder know about your app. Right now we have DGM's encoding covered, but if we were to pick up another series would you still be interest? It'd be different days, and actually we never get the ep out on tuesdays anymore, the eps come out during the weekend. _________________

okay, as soon as I get a hold of one of our encoders, I'll have (wolf most likely) Q&A you and then he'll probably have you run a test to see how well you do. _________________

Do you have the program/skills to encode?I'd say so, I use Winff, Mediacoder, MPlayer, PGCDemux, A million other demuxers and a video editorAre you experienced with encoding?More experienced with transcoding, though I've done dvd's and .ts'sAre you willing to take the time needed to encode episodes every tuesday/wednesday?I'm usually free, though I may not be able to dedicate EVERY single Tuesday and Wednesday.do you work well with a group?Pretty well, I am not very good with styling subs though Edit: By the way, I say this because a lot of groups scare me... Torture tests, software quizzes, styling tests, and I'm just like AHHH!!! I didn't know this was hell school .can you show a sample of your work?I am currently doing my Lost dvd's to iPhone format for myself, though there pretty low quality for computer playback(saving space on my iPhone ) I generally use MP4(h264 and aac) and MKV(depends on what I'm encoding from)(though I can do just about any format), depending on where I want to watch it. Edit: Okay, I just finished a Lost episode at a high quality(more than good enough for computer playback, 275MBs edit: A lost episode is 43 minutes, whereas an anime is 23 minutes, so an anime episode encoded at this quality would be something like 150 mb), but I don't know if I should link here, should I chop it up so I don't cause legal trouble, or PM it?-Daniel
