that's really interesting, tho, pretty brave of them, going up to talk to the "official" anime distributors, truthfully, I think it would be a fun experience, and a big step to maybe getting fansubbers some REAL credit. legally they can't do anything about it so it would be cool to talk to people in what they call the "real" industry. We work just as hard, if not harder than those who do "legitimately" release anime in the US. (of course that depends solely on the group) but they get paid, we don't, so we by default do more work and spend more time on it than they do.

Maybe if they spent more time on their subtitles in the US releases, it would be a whole other story IMO. But they usually suck and they're almost always YELLOW. yellow... what the hell? and an ugly font to boot. Fansubbers win when it comes to style and I even believe translations for a big part as well.

Instead of just slapping on some crappy dialog, terrible subs and then editing the hell out of it. Then they complain that people aren't buying them.

exactly. If I had any faith in US released subtitles, I would've thought of buying the US releases because I'm just like that (a fanatic that likes to get my hands on anything related to DGM) But I know that they'll sub crappily. Its like, give us the option of japanese dialog, but not decent subtitles to go with it. Its like they're trying to make people watch the english version by making the subs crappy. lol.

So anyone fall for DB's latest troll?
Apparently it's a rant about a Spanish restaurant they don't like, and in it they tell people to go to the restaurant's site and complain. Which i think is a pretty rotten thing to do, i mean what did the restaurant do? Give them the wrong meal. Unless of course they found say a rat taking a bath in the soup.

I intentionally download those trolls. Sometimes they're pretty good.

They were complaining about:
- Bad food, which made them feel too sick to accept someone's wifes' first prize
- Slow service, because of which they missed some events
-- No food for 2 hours after the order
-- 1 hour to get water
-- Another hour for garlic bread
- Waiter being so bad at English that he couldn't understand the order, resulting in them only getting 1/3 of what they ordered after complaining 3 times.
- Bad food being too expensive
- Being charged for things they never got

This troll is not worth downloading, except you want to listen to an anonymous member of DB singing and playing the guitar (badly). It's just very plain flaming without any sort of creativity.

LoL. Dattebayo is just havin a little fun. I don't know why people complain about their trolls, its really their fault if they download it.

I dont mind the trolls really. They're fun sometimes.

I've never gotten any accept for the Soulpuudden one, and i only got that cos people were saying it was really funny. I love their feedback forum, with all the complaints about their trolls.
