lol. nah there are no stupid questions......even though i may make fun of em anyways what i do as an encoder is i take the raw japanese file, and i add the subtitles in while trying to get the best quality for an output i can. i try aswell to go over it aswell for a qc, sometimes (though lately ive been really tired and kinda been forgetting about that -_- but im back now hehe) everything here takes a long time.....the encoding though takes me about 6-7 hours depending on how many passes i try to do, i think i did about 8 a few weeks ago lol and that took over 14 hours -_-. but hey you get what you put into it. anyways keep up the questions and dont think there dump cause there not. you dont learn anything without asking something.

Where'd you guys get the raw?I thought it was torrent or something
but some people said thats not where fansubbers get their raws :/

it depends on the group. There are groups out there that release RAWs, like Zero-Raws, and some groups have their own personal providers. As far as DGM goes, I am not involved in getting the RAWs we use for the final encoding, that is actually handled by the encoders, since they look for the best quality possible.

lol, sorry things relating to raws we are unable to answer. keep up the questions just try not to ask about them

I do believe most of the Higure-Subs staff was watching DGM before the group was started.

I probably wouldn't have gone to the trouble of starting a fansub group for any other anime, DGM is special to me, and thats why I created this group.

Right. I feel the same way too.I dunno why I love DGM so much...
Its probably cause its fun watching them kinda grow up XD
And I just dread the day when the series will end D:
